Technique #1 - " TWISTER "

A Smart Technique that fits most basic escapes and delivers the opponent to the ground and you to the "Safe-zone" for rapid escape. Your body weight, momentum and twisting motion vs. his hand grip(s).

1. Secure ( Hold like a sword) 2. Pull, then when he pulls, shoot with his energy ( his elbow to his heart) and spin to the "safe-zone", then pull down and sweep him to the ground. 3. RUN ! or Stomp and run!!

Please be safe and practice very slowly the first 50 times. Make sure your body is in correct position and you feel natural and comfortable. Then and only then, increase speed in small increments. Also, make sure the opponents "upright elbow" is between you and his shoulders and head, and not your head in the middle. Stand side-by-side, and not behind him or in front of him. Side hip to side hip, foot to foot. Pull down with a foot sweep and then escape. If you can not get a chance to spin, or he keeps pulling: Grab your own hand and do the TWISTER to escape his grip. If you make a mistake, just circle again! Remember, swing HIS elbow to HIS inside, then spin to his inside.

TWISTER - Part 2

This video is an extension of last weeks video. It shows "TWISTER" being used with chokes and grabs. It also discusses the "Frozen-hand Myth", which is the belief by many styles and seen on Youtube self defense escape videos, that the attacker grabs with one hand, and while you're "jiu-jitsu-ing his wrist" his other hand just does nothing. Myth! The Reality is that many people would still be able to use the other hand to grab or hit you. With big jointed attackers, the wrist manipulation techniques would in many cases be useless by a smaller victim. So it's better to use the powerful combination of twisting, body weight-momentum by spinning and to ultimately get to his back ( Safe-zone) so he can't counter you, then pull and sweep his leg all the way to the ground as fast and hard as possible, then stomp his face and RUN like there's no tomorrow!
-Practice 50 times slow, the increase the speed step-by-step. Also, practice on both sides, left and right. Email questions or join the forums if you have any questions!
